Natural charcoal is made following a slow and long lasting combustion of different raw materials such as wood, bamboo, or even compressed coconut shell. Natural coals can't be lighted with a lighter, contrary to instant light coals. They must be heated with a charcoal heater, especially adapted that will be able to provide the adequate heating temperature to correctly light the coals. Natural coals also produce less odor, and do not spread bad taste. There is numerous references that you'll find at Darnashop. These different product lines and brands differenciate themselves by their shapes (pastilles, flat, cubes, briquettes, bars, etc...) and by their carbon content. The more carbon content a charcoal has, the more heat it will deliver, and the more it will last. Moreover, the thicker it is, the longer it will heat and last. Choose your charcoal depending on the size of the bowl you're using and the heating system used (Kaloud, aluminum, Kamin, grids, etc...)
